Why use a BAS Agent

A BAS Agent is a Bookkeeper or Accountant who is registered with the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB).  This allows them to make decisions within your accounting software about GST.  This includes working out if a transaction has GST on it and enters it into the software correctly.

A BAS agent can also lodge your BAS and IAS.  They would have their own software to do this and would not be using a client’s log in.

A BAS Agent can assist with setting up Single Touch Payroll (STP) when you start off a new business and provide payroll services.

BAS Agents can talk to the ATO on your behalf and assist you with Jobkeeper applications.
